Blockchain technology in supply chains

Aim: Blockchain technology (BCT) is a relatively new technological development, promising strong gains in the areas of product traceability and visibility, end-to-end coordination (E2E), governance, efficiency supply chains. The aim this study to gain better understanding impact BCT on these performance measures.
 Design / Research methods: Hypotheses were tested with survey data from 119 chain professionals Northern American SMEs.
 Conclusions findings: results confirm positive impacts all measures. E2E integration information, goods, money within an organisation or chain. appeared benefit use BCT, enabling information sharing safe way. findings suggest that fosters coordination, which its turn also positively affects financial performance.
 Originality value article: Despite increasing interest of, there little empirical evidence for effect performance. Many studies are anecdotal lack evidence.
 Implications research (if applicable): Companies should acknowledge various Implementing using likely foster improvement wide range indicators.
